#VSS Anthology – vote for your favourite cover!
As you know, a first anthology of the best #VSS Twitter stories is being finalized right now. It’s a really exciting project and as a DIY writer/designer I’ve volunteered to create anthology’s cover. Out of several designs, two are the strongest – with each one having an idea behind.
Cover A
A book out of a tweet box. Simple idea, classic book design. I can make a version with strong colors as well.
Cover B
I used Wordle to generate a word cloud. In a final version there will be a cloud made from a final text of the anthology. The idea is to capture a tremendous variety of thoughts and worlds created by #VSS Authors.

@namenick The first is a good idea but the pic looks so washed out. I voted for B but am not that keen on it.

B has my vote – especially with the imperfections, “sloppy silk-screen” effect
I don't think either one would prompt me to pick up the book. The first one is all gray, and it's hard to tell what the second one is.

@namenick a is simply beautiful. Good work, but cover b is more punchy… Both are great.
I voted for A but I would change the book colour and title to a black or dark matte grey to make it stand out instead of the pain washed out light blue/white mixture
Good grief it was so hard to pick. They're both pretty cool – but the second one is such an awesome concept.
Looks like A is winning. How much longer do you think we should run this poll @namenick? And what about the variation that Giancarlo mentioned? Would a black or dark matte gray be better? Could you send me color variations on A?
I'll prepare variations of A and send you today. I've had on Twitter a couple of responses similar to Giancarlo, so it looks like it's a direction to go. I'll propose variations with strong colors – to get the visual impact of version B.

I'd vote for A. A bit on the wash side. But jesus, I think cover B misses the point of VSSs completely. Too much stuff going on.
