What’s on my mind, visualized [part 1]

Here is a fantastic Wordle visualization of most popular words used at this blog. I love the look, as well as a way it can be created. You just type the address of your blog, choose a font, colours (font + background) – and there you have it. I’ll wordle my blog frequently. It’s a beautiful way to archive your Internet (=life) activity.

Having in mind blog’s title, I can only say that no, the word being my life’s password is not there yet.

Jak ściągnąć książkę bezpośrednio do Stanzy?

Poniżej zamieszczam bardzo praktyczną mini-instrukcję, zamieszczoną na stronach portalu Bezkartek.pl. Przyda się każdemu, kto surfując w Internecie natrafi na książkę w formacie ePub, którą chciałby natychmiast ściągnąć. Zamiast przechodzić do Safari na iPhonie, lub próbować szukać w katalogu bezpośrednio w Stanzie, można po prostu zrobić to, co poniżej, czyli wpisać w odpowiednim miejscu adres strony z książką. Powinno zadziałać w przypadku każdego adresu zakończonego .epub.

Lista polskojęzycznych książek na urządzenia mobilne

Tworzę kolejną listę (poprzednie są wymienione w powiązanych wpisach). Tym razem chciałem zebrać w jednym miejscu wszystkie adresy, pod którymi można znaleźć polskojęzyczne książki elektroniczne w formatach przeznaczonych na mobilne urządzenia do czytania – nie tylko czytniki, ale również telefony komórkowe.

Celem tej listy jest oprócz funkcji typowo praktycznej, również utrwalenie stanu polskich zasobów książkowych w czasach “sprzed eClicto”. Gdy platforma ruszy w grudniu, liczba polskich książek gwałtownie wzrośnie (wreszcie).

Poniżej lista. Wymieniam serwisy z książkami w formatach .prc i .epub. Mam świadomość, że lista nie jest pełna, w dalszym ciągu traktuję siebie przede wszystkim jak pisarza, a dopiero potem wolontariusza od e-booków. Prosiłbym o umieszczanie w komentarzach kolejnych sugestii. »»»

Książka kontra Kindle – cz. 5 [video]

Kolejna część cyklu porównującego książkę do czytnika. Temat: pretekst do zawierania znajomości. Jak ktoś ma potrzebę pośmiać się z e-booka, e-czytnika i w ogóle z “e”, to czas najwyższy. Za parę miesięcy może się okazać, że nie będzie wypadało.
PS. Seria staje się coraz bardziej naciągana, ale konsekwentnie umieszczę pozostałe 5 odcinków – “niechęć” to w końcu ważny etap ewolucji naszego podejścia do książki elektronicznej.
